Images of Rail Book Now On Sale

The book, "Images of Rail: Pittsburg, Shawmut & Northern Railroad," by PS&NRRHS President Ken Clark is available from the society.  Please order your copy via our Items for Sale page.

The book contains 220 photos, many never previously published, from the society's archives.

Chapter One present photos in milepost order in New York State, starting in Wayland, NY and ending at Prosser Jct.  It includes scenes from the Hornell and Olean Branches.

Chapter Two continues the survey in Pennsylvania starting at the State Line Viaduct at Bullis Mills and ending in Hydes.

Chapter three presents a pictorial survey of the railroad's motive power, passenger and freight equipment, cabooses and service cars.

The final chapter is a pictorial survey of all the mines of the Shawmut Mining Company.

All proceeds from the sale of this book benefit the PS&NRRHS.

Sept. 21, 2025 Annual Shawmut Days in St. Marys, PA at the Bucksgahuda & Western Railroad. Find the railroad by traveling south on route 255 from downtown St. Marys. The street is Gillen Crossing Road with a very tall and easy to miss sign. On Schedule
