Volunteers Needed for Annual
Open House, July 15-20

The PS&NRRHS needs volunteers to help staff our museum during the week of the Allegany County Fair, July 15-20, 2019.  The museum, which is located right on the midway of the fairgrounds, will be open daily from 12 Noon—8PM.

Volunteers need not be "experts" on the PS&N.  We will pair you up with more seasoned volunteers.  Instead, just an energetic, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to welcome the general public to the museum is all that's required.  Remember, it's 2019 and many people have never been on a train before.  Many questions are of the nature, "What was the caboose used for?" and "Did people actually sleep in this car?"

Volunteers who commit to at least a 4-hour block will receive a pass covering their admission to the fair, plus a green PS&NRRHS t-shirt (while supplies last).

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact John M. Muchler at 607-566-9598 or via email.

Modelers' Corner
by Wm. Perry Squier

Member Perry Squier of New Jersey has a full-basement recreation of the PS&N in HO Scale.  Perry recently shared with us a series of photos of different scenes from his layout that we will be sharing over the next several issues of the Cannonball.

In the June issue, we see the Bolivar, NY depot.(Perry Squier photos).

In the March issue, we see the Empire Sash & Door Company of Friendship, NY.  (Perry Squier photos).
